Our Programs
Half-day programs for children from 2½ to 5. Children start in Preschool and can stay with us through Junior and Senior Kindergarten.

Find your child's class
Tell us when your child was born and we will show the program they join and the September they can start.
Guidance based on Ontario's December 31 age cut-off and our 2½-year starting age. We confirm placement at registration.

Session times
Mornings and afternoons
- Morning session9:00 am – 12:00 pm
- Afternoon session1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
- Monday to FridayPreschool runs mornings and afternoons; JK and SK run in the morning. Classes start promptly at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.
Three circles a day
Circle time
Every session is anchored by three circle times, each with its own purpose.
Opening circle
The whole class begins the day together with a consistent routine of welcome songs, the calendar and the weather.
Small-group circle
Children of similar ages work in small groups on colours, counting, calendar time and turn-taking. Attendance is required, because this is where the teaching happens.
Closing circle
Games and songs to end the session, so every child leaves on a high note.
A morning at Building Blocks
What a session looks like
- 9:00Arrive and settleCoats off, a warm hello, and straight into the learning centres.
- 9:20Opening circleWelcome songs, the calendar, the weather and the week's theme.
- 9:45Work timePhonics, printing or math for JK and SK; sensory and fine motor activities for preschool.
- 10:30Snack and small groupsA healthy snack, then small-group circle for colours, counting and turn-taking.
- 11:00Art and playThe day's planned art activity, then free play across the centres.
- 11:45Closing circleGames and songs, then artwork in the hallway and home for lunch.
Afternoon preschool sessions follow the same rhythm from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
