Since 1986
Nearly four decades on Sandalwood Parkway
Building Blocks Nursery School was founded in 1986 to address the lack of quality early childhood programs in the area. Nearly forty years later, we are still a small, licensed school where every teacher knows every child by name.
Over the years we have added teachers with special-needs and elementary experience, a structured phonics program that has children reading early, and a program statement grounded in Ontario's How Does Learning Happen? pedagogy.

Our classrooms are staffed by registered early childhood educators and support staff who create a loving, nurturing environment where children thrive.
The team pursues ongoing professional development and holds current First Aid certification, and every adult who volunteers on a trip is screened under our field trip policy.
